Dilara Akay was born in 1963 in Adana, Turkey and graduated from Bosphorous University in 1985. She was involved in many design and art projects nationally and internationally. In 2004 she started creating ARK's and since 2005 she cooperates with Istanbul Dance Theatre (IDT+) for multidisciplinary projects. Also she is a founding member of an artist platform; Hayaka Artı since 2006. She lives and works in Istanbul.
